An interactive swing bridge
The City of Amsterdam is improving the link between Noord and the rest of the city with a new bridge for cyclists and pedestrians over the Noordhollandsch Kanaal. Commissioned by K_Dekker bouw & infra, we designed a detailed paper scale model of the Iepbrug (bridge 2470) — a handy corporate gift in brochure form.
Not a static model sheet, but an interactive build: you fold and glue a real movable bridge with many small details. Ideal to hand out to partners, stakeholders and people involved in the project.
- Detailed paper model of the swing bridge
- Produced as a 12-page brochure
- Edition of 1,000 copies
- Bio-inks and FSC wood-free paper
- Environmentally friendly production in the Netherlands
From Noord to the city across the canal
The Noordhollandsch Kanaal is a hard boundary between Amsterdam-Noord and the rest of the city. A good crossing for cyclists and pedestrians makes daily life and work easier. The new swing bridge shortens the route to the ferry without a long detour.
Sustainable print, produced locally
The print work is produced in an environmentally friendly way in the Netherlands. Special biodegradable bio-inks, lower water use and wood-free FSC-certified paper reduce the environmental impact. That fits Amsterdam’s story as a healthy city.
An environmentally friendly paper model that connects — just as the Iepbrug connects two parts of Amsterdam for cyclists and pedestrians.
The result
K_Dekker has a corporate gift that puts the project in people’s hands: recognisable, interactive and sustainably produced. Ideal for the opening ceremony, trade fairs or talks with municipalities and partners.
A custom paper model for infrastructure projects you want people to see — and build.
