A DAF to build yourself
Scholt Energy asked us to design a paper model of a DAF truck, in the Scholt Energy corporate identity. The model was used at the DAF Trucks Flanders Family Day: a recognisable object for visitors, and a gift that is built and kept rather than disappearing into a bag afterwards.
The sheet was made easy to hand out. The truck is printed in full on A3, and folded in half it becomes A4. That makes it simple to distribute at an event, without turning it into a large package.
- Paper scale model of a DAF truck
- A3, folded in half to A4
- Full-colour offset
- Edition of 15,000 copies
- Used at the DAF Trucks Flanders Family Day
Made to be handed out
A family day calls for a gift that children and adults alike are pleased to receive, and that can be produced in a large edition at short notice. Full-colour offset printing is ideal for that: a sharp image, clear colours and an edition of 15,000 without any loss of quality.
The folded A4 format makes it easy to hand out. Visitors take the sheet with them, unfold it and immediately see the parts of the truck. At home the model is cut, folded and glued. Scholt Energy stays visible after the event as well.
The result
At a large event, a small giveaway is appreciated too. Because of the edition size and the compact format, Scholt Energy could hand out its own recognisable gift at the DAF Trucks Flanders Family Day. Not another plastic gadget of the kind seen at every event, but a well-made, durable model that is assembled and stays on display.
