125 years of seaport police
The seaport police turn 125. For that anniversary we designed a paper kit of patrol vessel P5 for the police. With 37 parts it is a rewarding build on A2 format. The finished model is about 35 centimetres long.
The paper model goes to events at the Maritime Museum Rotterdam and the World Port Days — and always lies on board the police vessel itself, ready to hand out.

Also fun for serious model builders
Young people who receive the model cut and fold their own police boat. The design also leaves room to make it your own: experienced model builders go further and add extra detail. Photos of finished versions circulate in which every rail and antenna is correct — even scaled down to 1:250. One paper model inspires everyone from 8 to 88.
Always a stack on board
On the police vessel itself there is always a stock of paper models. Anyone who comes on board at an open day, a tour or a chance meeting in the harbour can take one. That makes the model part of the ship — it lasts longer than a single event.
It is also handed out during the World Port Days and at activities in the Maritime Museum Rotterdam.

The result
The police have an anniversary gift that keeps working: recognisable, fun to build, and practical to hand out — on the ship, in the museum and during the port days. Model builders take it further; children discover the seaport police with scissors and glue.
