Your new school, ready to build
For Van Wijnen we designed a paper model of the new De Parel school building. The school wanted pupils to get to know the building before the summer holiday, so they would recognise it when they moved in afterwards.
The model is built and then stuck on a colouring page of the playground. That creates a small diorama: the building with the trees, the paths and the play area around it. Suitable as an educational project in class and as a corporate gift from the construction company.
- New De Parel school building, for Van Wijnen
- Model is stuck on a colouring page of the playground
- Separate parts, with façades and a roof with solar panels
- Numbered building instructions on the sheet
- Suitable for pupils and for contacts of the construction company
A building with several volumes
The school is made of two volumes: a lower part and a higher part with a large roof full of solar panels. The façades have horizontal bands, large windows and rounded corners. A nicely challenging model. The instructions show clearly how the volumes fit together, step by step.
About this project
Van Wijnen wanted a recognisable model of the new building, suitable for handing out to pupils and to contacts. We drew the building with the timber façade bands, the white accents and the solar panels on the roof.
The model sits on a colouring page of the playground, with trees and paths. Children can build the paper building and then colour the playground however they like. A hands-on way to introduce them to their new school.
A friendly introduction to the new school building, before you walk in for real after the holidays.
